Brands Absent from SIA?

There are some brands who there has been no word from about next year's lines. i.e. Amplid, CoreUPT, Bluehouse, etc.

Were they not at SIA, or did NS just not feature them? I'm jonesin' to see the new Anti-D's, and Schiller Pros.

And I know they don't come out for ages yet, and to be patient, etc, but I'd have thought brands would want to get their product out there, before kids make their mind up about what skis they want for next year? Just a thought.

Coreupt might only be at the big ass show in Europe. It would be weird seeing how much money they drop on advertising but it's a european company after all.

you can be sure that amplid will be at ispo- it's right in their back yard. i would imagine coreupt will be there also.

coreupt was at SIA but they showed up pathetically. they had a mostly empty booth with only a few pairs of skis in blank solid colors. each ski had a torn piece of paper taped on it with the graphic the ski is supposed to have printed on it with inkjet printer.

perhaps there's some sort of reasonable explanation but it seemed like they put in no effort whatsoever...

I know Tecnica was there but I don't think NS covered any of their stuff. Does anyone know where i can see next years Tecnica stuff?

seems like ns only covered brands that they thought would be the most wanted. tgr has alot more coverage

I'd have thought brands like Amplid and Bluehouse would have fitted the NS demographic more than lesser-discussed brands, such as Nordica. Although they have done a great job of the Ace of Spades this year.

I'm just intrigued to see the new Anti-D.

I don't have a link, but I can tell you what's new.

Basically, all new 98mm boots that replace the Race Pro series called Inferno.  Less forward lean, less delta angle off the boot board (think Shogun/X3 boots from Salomon).  Two FR models called the Blaze and Heat.

Agent series pretty much disappears but still there; awkward, I know.  The Agent 130 is now a 120, but it's not the Race Pro series NOR Inferno series (it's an old 98mm boot from Dolomite actually, haha. Nordica shares it too with the Enforcer boot).  Agent 80 is still there, with some "new" updates for the Agent AT series.  Boots under "The Agent" moniker are really dead.  BUT BUT BUT there still exists Freeride/Freestyle versions of each last:

98mm - Inferno Blaze (110 flex), Heat (100 flex)
100mm - Dragon Slayer (110 flex)
102mm - Pheonix Firebird (80-70 flex)

These models will feature the same shock absorbing features found on this year's "Agent" series, they just dropped the name.

Tecnica also has updated some of the Phoenix boots to have a Reebok-type pump system in them called "Air Shell" where you can literally pump up the heel pocket and forefoot.

so the dragon slayer is the new agent 110? is it the same mold?

The same boots are still in the line-up, just under a new name.  In my opinion, the Agent series of boots was mega confusing.  Agent 130, Agent 110, Agent 90, etc... all use the same name, but each have way different fits and different amounts of shock absorption.  People were always confused, thinking they fit the same but only had different flexes.  (Nordica does the same stupid thing with their Hot Rod boots)

The Agent 110 = The Dragon Slayer.  Everything about it is the same, except for name and cosmetic.  I think it makes a bit more sense but not perfect.  I've always been a proponent of relabeling the freeride/freestyle versions of boots, kinda like what Salomon does.  SPK, Ghost - different fits, different names.

CoreUPT faced issues producing samples for both SIA and ISPO tradeshow.

Only skis with blank topsheet, as it has been said before, are exposed..

But I'm sure pics of next year skis will be release as soon as possible !!
