if you are taking pain meds, don't be a moron. That's a bad combo, alcohol and scrip drugs. take it easy, you won't die if you don't drink. be an adult, let yourself recover before you act like a moron.

unless you're on painkillers that specifically say not to mix with alcohol you're all set. If worse comes to worse, you may get an infection coz alcohol lowers immunity, but you should be aight.

you shouldn't drink beer because of the yeasts, etc. that they use to make beer can cause an infection. hard liquor is ok though. that's what my doc told me when I got mine out.

if your meds kill bacteria and you consume more yeast, you're in trouble. That's how yeast infections come about. Yeast in your body feeds on bacteria, and as long as there is a balance between the two, you are all set. If you take the bacteria out or introduce more yeast, it starts eating other shit. You get HORRENDOUS rashes and shit. it's not fun. Happened to me because I took like, tetrocycline or whatever, and it depleted a lot of the BAC in my body. yeast started eating my skin or something. sooo miserable.

Ok I might be thinking of something else, but doesn't alcohol reduce the thickness of your blood? If it does then it's probably not a good idea right away because then you might start bleeding and the stitches might get fucked.
But if it's been a couple days then you might be fine. That is, if you're off the meds.

Hmmmmm now that I think about it I drank while on some antibiotics and I felt SO gross in the morning. Not hung over, but like my insides were gonna explode. And I couldn't even eat a single dad's cookie. I was fucking starving but I couldn't eat. Worst shift at work ever. Be careful man. Don't drink unless it's a night you absolutely can't miss.

serious answer: once you drink your blood thins out. all this means is you could potentially bleed more because of the alcohol out of your wounds, although if they are not bleeding. sweet

this girl i know got a tattoo one night after she was shitttttttttttty drunk, and the tattoo artist said she was a mess because of all the alcohol she drank the night before, and because of that....she was a bleeder. if this is false information. i care to know

I did but I did not have any medication. But a week after when I saw the dentist she told me it was not the best idea cause it could increase the pain.
So to answer your question yes you can.

if you're on:

an antibiotic -  dont drink, it will make it not effective and lower your immunity and you increase the chances of an infection

prescription pain drugs - dont do it because they aren't supposed to be mixed unless you really wanna fuck up your liver and stomach

acetaminophen - drink and your stomach will bleed and you will be in a world of pain. my brother learned this the hard way.

drinking carbonated beverages also increase the risk of fucking up the clots and then you will get dry sockets which suck a lot.


I got mine out last thursday, DDed that weekend, and now im back in the game. take the weekend off kid, its not that big of a deal. trust me, its a lot better than getting dry sockets (my other brother got those and its just a terrible pain and you gotta go back to the dentist to get it like repacked which hurts too), or fucking up your insides.

I would say don't do it... especially if by drinking you mean getting drunk. Getting drunk is gonna thin your blood and increase swelling and will definitely not help you get better faster.
