S3, JJ, or obSETHed?

Trying to decide between the three skis in the title. 5'5", 135lbs, looking for something to kill pow and crud and a little BC but survive the groomers and bumps back to the lift. +K for good advice.

Or hellbents. I know bents are kinda in a different category, but everybody says they're sick as fuck.

i say get this years obsethed. its got tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot. it works great in park and groomers but obviously performs in pow. i think the hellbent would be a bit much and i dont really know much on the s3's

I have the S3 and there super good in pow and all around skiin 98 underfoot, early rise tip and tail, camber underfoot and its a pretty soft flexy ski.

I havent skied the obsethed but i heard its a little heavy.

I've skied on all of those, and the JJ is my favorite.  Obsethed was my least favorite.  S3 is more of a park ski from what I remember.

Thanks, I'm definitely leaning toward the JJ, but the S3 is cheaper. I threw in the idea of bents because a store near me has an old model for under $500.

500 for hellbents is way expensive. JJ's do everything really well! I love mine. Get them. check geartrade.com for jjs

JJ or the S3. I havent tried the JJ but everyone who rides them swear by them. I have a pair of the S3s as my non deep day skis (I use Chetlers for those days). The 3s work great wether all over the mountain. I let my brother borrow them 2 1/2 weeks ago in Utah in knee deep pow and they ripped it. Either way you'll be happy with your choice, but you may want to also look at ONP3 Billy Goats. Just as a note this looks to be the last season the S3 will have sweet art on it. Rossi looks to have transitioned the sweet looking art over to 3 to 4 jib skis.

169 Bents are those the pre launched? I thought it was only 183 for 2008/2009

And I'd go JJ, they're gonna be way lighter and quicker turning that the ObSethed, and much better in the pow than the S3s

If you wont be riding park, get the JJ. I thought the S3 was bland. It did ok at most things but wasn't really good for anything. JJ will be much much better in pow and just as good on the groomed.

JJ For sure man, i got the 175cm and im in love. Btw this year obsethed are good too, and for the s3 i try the 178 cm i think, like them but prefer the JJ.

I have Hellbents, and they are great for pure powder, but they get knocked around a lot in crud. They are also very soft. Check out the Surface One Life. They kill powder with the massive 3 stage rocker. They are also pretty stiff, and are great in crud. They are very good on groomers (suprisingly), are fun in the park since they can butter super well with the 3 stage rocker. But out of the 4 that you listed, I would say JJs or S3s. Fishgills has JJs and One Lifes, PM him if you want more  info.

How heavy are you? I'm 130-135 and at first I was going to the 175, but alot of people have said that they ski really, really short. The 185s are sold out everywhere though.

175 will be fine for you.

I agree with what those people are tellin ya. I have a friend who is about 5'4" and roughly your weight and uses 185 JJ's with ease...
