how do you screw/ nail a 2 inch pvc pipe to a 2x4

hopefully this video will help people.  the way i do it is line the pvc with the 2x4 (oviously) and drill a whole in the top of the pipe where i want my screws to go.  put a screw trew the hole and drill away.  make sure the screw isnt to long or else it will split the wood.  also dont drill far in as the screw will go threw the pipe. 

NOTE: THE HOLES WILL NOTAFFECT YOUR SLIDING ATALL

ok so the way i drilled pvc into a 2x4 was i secured the pvc with something it doesn't really matter as long as the pvc doesn't move. then i placed the 2x4 on top on it lengthwise and had someone hold the 2x4 down while i drilled screws through the wood into the pvc. to make it more sturdy, i also went back later and drilled in more screws at an angle so the rail wouldn't move around. so far the rail has out great and i haven't had any problems with how strong it is.
