Line Prophet 100 2010 ski or Line Chronic Cryptonite 2010
I'm looking at a ski to stay in the park mostly. But i will also be going all mountain. I want a one ski quiver so which of these would do the job? Past experiences, opinions, reviews or other ski recommendations will help. Thanks
Why don't you check out the Blend? That ski was basically designed for you mo. If for some reason you're only able to choose from the two you've listed, this is what I suggest: If you're a bigger guy, are going to be skiing mostly all mountain and/or you live west of the mississippi, go with the Prophet. If you are smaller, live on the east, and/or like a narrower ski, go with the cryptonite.
i am also trying to choose between these skis, from what the line website and youtube show the chronics are more suited to park/freestyle (probably the best choice for you) while the prophet is more an all around ski and is not advertised as much as a park ski, but would probably have no problems in the park, they both use the same fatty base and edge tech. personally i am leaning towards the prophets, but i don't ski park that much. for you i would say chronics but really you can't go wrong either way.
just to add on, as far as one ski quivers go, the prophet would probably be your best bet but if the majority of your skiing is in the park stick with the chronic.
i'll second that. i tout the blends a lot around here, i've gone through two sets and absolutely love them. I'm over 50 days on them, and they kill it, no hesitations to take them anywhere you want to take them. failing that, i'd lean to the cryptonite, stiffer flexing, 92 underfoot, very solid. i'm not a huge fan of taking the prophet in the park, cuz if you catch that guy weird you can torque the ski and it'll stay torqued.
