Question about older models..

I did search and couldn't find the answer so..

Is there any disadvantage to buying older models? By which I mean do the skis deteriorate in any way when not being used? If i bought a brand new 07-08 Lizzies (my favourite graphic) would it make any difference to performance? Is there any reason to buy newer models except graphics?

ski gear does do that, but not that fast.
they'll be fine, especially if they kept storage wax on them.

I'll check them out in the store, I doubt they have storage wax on though. Is that going to affect base durability if they had no wax for two years or so? In what ways do they deteriorate?

i really really doubt it.
i've never heard of bases drying out like that. especially if they've never been skied.

to my knowledge yes.
but that can vary from company to company. so i would check with Line first.
