Saab 9-2x

im looking for a new car and came across a saab 9-2x 2005 with 50,000 miles on it. i got the guy to agree on 7500 for the car. is this a good deal or am i getting ripped off. car seems to be in good conditoin probably going to look at it soon just wondering what people thought of this car if anyone out there drives it

It's more or less a Subaru Impreza.  Is it the Linear or Aero version?

it is exactly the same as a wrx, but with a different front end (that i actually like a lot)

hop on that!  and remember, it's like a wrx, not impreza as the person above me said

I know my Saabs and Subies.  That thing is not a WRX.

And in addition to that, a WRX is an Impreza.  Not all Impreza's are WRX's though.

just about my favorite car.

almost all the parts (obviously excluding saab bodywork) are interchangeable with imprezas too so have fun tuning it!

i know them well also

one of my friends has a stage 2 wrx with a bunch of sti swapped parts

another friend has a 9-2x

i know that an sti is technically a: Subaru Impreza WRX STi, but of course you don't wanna call it that, so you drop the impreza and wrx

such a good deal, wrx's with 50k usually go for $12k+

If you can get the Aero, go for it all the way. Most of them are cheaper than WRX's, look better (imo), come with HID headlights, have the STi steering rack, and a better interior with leather seats. And any Subaru place will be able to work on it no problem. However, seeing as Saab is dead, you won't have any remaining warranties on it work.

Rad, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a naturally aspirated 2.5L engine, not the turbo'd one found in the WRX, thus making it more similar to the Impreza TS.

It has a 2.5L Turbo, so not the WRX engine, its actually the engine found in the Forester XT. But yes, the Aero is turboed.

Actually, EVERYONE is wrong. The 9-2x is actually a 4 door Smart Car with a V8.

I just done googlemachined it.
