I need some ideas for a woodshop project

Does anyone have ideas for a nice woodshop project. I am a senior in highschool and we have to work on one single project the whole semester, or a series of smaller ones. I really dont know what to make. in the past, i have made a ski rack, a modern end table, fold out style patio table and an intarsia. Does anyone have any ideas? And no, i dont think skis would work.

There are about 30 of those things in my house.... But if you look at them one way they are one thing, the other way, another thing. Like the deer one is a deer/hunter depending on how you look at it.

i was in shop class so shut your face. second there are things you can do to make your box more complicated and get complexity marks.

I recently made an adirondack table with skis as the table surface, it was dope, i just slightly modified these plans  to incorporate skis.

Really though I'd make something you can put in your house and take with you forever. I have three pieces of solid oak furniture in my house that I made myself in high school. A bedside table with a small door compartment. A couchside square table with drawer and raised panel door. And a small entertainment center I designed and built by myself for a senior project like your doing. All was done before senior year actually, in junior year I had already had 6 wood shop classes. That is when I designed my project plans in drafting, then made it in woodshop.

It really is classy nice stuff to have in your house. And like I said before it is a cheap way to pay for quality wood furniture, Hell the shit you buy nowadays isn't even real wood most of the time.

its not that hard to do
half a period for all the cutting then assembly
it is just two rectangular frames with  something like one foot spacers(depends on what your desired height is) in between the two frames and then some plywood on top


and you dont think it would be nice??
its 2x4s and you use a square

im not claiming or bragging but i have made some pretty nice pieces in wood shop

and i cant do your challenge seeing as i dont have wood shop and im not wasting my money on building  a box when i already have three features in my backyard

oh, well i am talking a legit metal one.. it is easyier said than done...measureing out then gutting grinding weldign more grinding, then gutting the plastic and then putting it on and making sure it is smooth..

Make a big tall CD/DVD rack. But...make it so it holds the slimmer Blu-Ray cases. I hate that my blu-ray's are all floppy in my DVD racks.

seeing as i am in woodshop, not welding...
that ski rack is legit, but i made one last year. and i have pretty much decided on my project.

doesnt you school have a metal shop in it? most schools do, at least a wood and metal shop if not a mechanics shop as well

Make a guitar.  MY shop teacher made one a semester and it didn't seem toooo awful difficult.  just a lot of meticulous work and glueing and clamping.

they work great. naturally they are very responsive being 100% ash wood. they have a regular base and steel edges. one of these days ill make a thread about how they were made. its an incredibly long process and making skis out 100% wood is very tedious. i made them for my senior project two years ago and have not really ridden on them since. they are not the most durable skis but the still ski great. they are based off of the atomic metrons and orig dumonts. lill try and get a vid up of me skiing on them.

I'm actually starting to believe you have something wrong with you. Of course our school has a metal shop (i go to aznsteeze's school) but if you payed attention you would have read that aznsteeze said he is in much woodshop not welding so he couldn't make a metal box because he is in WOODSHOP NOT WELDING.

Learn to fucking read you dumbass.

And you telling me to make a metal box i could probably do that in 10 periods which is not where even close to half or a full semester.

But I can not do you challenge because I am currently making a full dune buggy by my self.

alright here come the questions. not really sure how you did the construction, and did they have edges? Would the bindings tear out? sandwich construction or maybe like a afterbang skateboard construction? jw cause i obviously would want to make a ski, but i just dont think it will be practical for the time it takes.
