All im saying is that he has no taste.

If he wasnt such a douche, he'd buy a nice house, not some garbage unoriginal piece of crap house that everyone on MTV Cribs has... and get a sick car like a GT40 or an old Aston or something, something that doesnt make you look like an obnoxious prick.

Its garbage because its not unique or interesting or tasteful, its just some bullshit architecture piece of crap that everyone else who is rich as fuck... he just doesnt have any class... its just why all those rapper on cribs who have come from the "hood" have bought obnoxious, ugly, mansions that are all identical... Shaun White is just another one of those people, and it makes him a douche.

I've always had mixed feelings about Shaun, but when it comes down to it, I feel bad for the guy for being so motivated that he can't just have fun and maybe take a backcountry trip with some homies every once in a while. Not criticizing his motives, he obviously is the most successful snowsports guy ever, I just think a week or two long trip in BC with a bunch of snowboarders would be good for the guy.

\theres no question that hes a good snowboarder. and really the video wasnt all that bad. but the way he responded to the quote at the end is just the response of a prick. it really doesnt seem like the kid has fun doing what he does. and really thats what snowboarding is about having fun.

Funny story though, my best friend used to own the house right next to Shaun's in Carlsbad. Shaun wanted to buy the house off of my friend's dad just so put all his friends up next door.

i was looking to see if some burton ams were listed on the team(they werent) and shaun white wasnt listed on the global team? is he really above being listed with other dudes? id argue that most of those dudes are better all around snowboarders than shaun white and not just jocks trying to cash in.

its more than just being good dude. its the element of that he doesnt seem to be having fun. hes just seems like someone who is trying to make money at this point.  take a day, get away from cameras and shred pow, have fun. it doesnt seem like shaun white does this. i dont look at him as a snowboarder. hes a machine thats trying to make money.

and yeah i consider dudes who only concentrate on competitions and their whole life revolves around competition jocks. becasue quite frankly thats what they are.

So what makes you believe that he doesn't have fun when he shreds? It must be somewhat fun for him or I doubt he would do it. From most of the footage I have seen of Shaun it looks like he is having a blast, sure comps can be stressful but why would someone put themselves through that much stress if they didn't like what they did.

Until you have meet the kid and gotten to know him passing judgment on him is just juvenile. It seems to me that most people in this thread are jealous of Shaun. He lives a life that a lot of people wish they could live, that doesn't make him a douche, machine, or anything else for that matter other than a kid who is doing what he loves and happens to make a bunch of money doing it.

I don't know Shaun but from the media that I have seen, he seems like a dude who is passionate about what he does and does not deserve all the hate he gets.

he's a rockstar not a snowboarder, he basically says it when he says he has no friends to ride with. IMagine how boring it would be to ski by yourself all the time. I couldnt do it

really i dont care to meet the kid so i doesnt matter. i dont understand why you care so much.

jeremy jones,Jussi, Terje,mads jonnson, and danny davis all have much better steeze than shaun white and produce better video parts. therefore in my opinion they are better snowboarders.

Style is subjective asswipe. His style is being mechanical and gymnast looking. Also it seems like you're hating on him because he's raped superpipe for literally the last 4 years and no one has come close. He's successful and he actually does shred pow fairly often.


With that being said, Travis Rice is awesome.

i dont even know why im talking so much shit about shaun white becasue i dont follow competive snowboarding becasue i think it sucks. and thats all hes involved in.

and yes travis rice is awesome and shits on shaun white in the skills/style department.
