I'm sure he has plenty of friends. If people don't want to be around him it's their deal. Why should he feel bad about being the best out there? That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard, feeling guilty for your ability. That makes me sick to my stomach. He deserves everything he has because he had the ability to earn it, so fuck off.

I think the argument at hand is that Shaun is flashy and douche-y with the way he spends his money. I think the ski/snowboard community would appreciate a leading figure to be more down to earth and less of a poor-taste-having douche.

before i start this rant, id like to say that i dont really like shaun white, i can just see from his point view, and i dont think he deserves the hate i get. i fully understand that regardless of this disclaimer, i will still get accused of sucking his dick. thats ok though, i dont fucking care. because anyone who accuses me of being a shaun white dick-sucker obviously enjoys copious amounts of anal sex with farm animals, specifically pigs and dogs.

shaun white is fucking awesome at snowboarding. you cannot dispute this. he won the fucking olympics,  i dunno if you have ever competed in the olympics before, but its REALLY FUCKING HARD.

shaun white has done a very good job using this high level of skill to make him shitloads of money, as the show said, after all the endorsements and goods and shit, about 10 million dollars a year.

what the fuck is wrong with that? is making money wrong? is using your hard earned money to buy yourself a Lamborghini wrong? shaun worked his fucking ass off for that money, his snowboarding ability didnt come easy, hes been  hiking pipes (go ahead make a gay joke) and putting 12 hour days on a snowboard since he was like two fucking years old. fuck. if that guy didnt have a lambo id fucking buy him one.

i thought in the interview he sounded like a  kinda nice guy, once or twice he came off kinda cocky, but he deserves it, after all, he did win the olympics, which, as i mentioned previously, is pretty goddamned hard.

i even felt bad for him at the end of the interview where he agreed with that quote from another rider saying he was "alone" in the sprt. because he is. i dont think that kid really has many friends he snowboards with. which is a bummer, but im pretty sure he realizes that he sacrificed that.

i realize that i sound like i really love shaun white, i dont, but i have to give the guy props. he makes 10 million dollars a year snowboarding, if i could do that i would in a fucking heartbeat. i dont think its right to hate on shaun white, he has truly furthered the exposure of snowboarding in a way nobody else could. i also just dont believe in hating on skiiers or snowboarders in generl. hes on snow right? and he has a piece of wood with him that slides on the snow right? so in my book that makes him a pretty good person. i would defend any of you assholes, or any professional snowboarder just the same.

so why is it that because shaun white has a lambo he's a douche, and when jon bought a lambo and put a ski rack on top, it was the coolest thing you've all ever seen. my respect for the kid definitely went up after watching 60 minutes. except for his private pipe in the backcountry. that's stupidly excessive/maybe i'm just jealous

For once I agree with Bosh (dear god, the world will end); the way he spends his money makes him seem douche-y. He's an insane snowboarder and deserves his money, but if I made that much money, I def wouldn't spend it on stupid shit like a lambo.

yeah ok...you'd probably spend it on something that someone else would think was stupid. Why are you scrutinizing the way he spends his money? He earned it, it belongs to him, and he is entitled to spend it in whichever way he pleases. That is the point of money, to buy shit you want with it. This kid grew up under pretty humble conditions and came from pretty much nothing. He took his slams along the way and rose to be the best snowboarder out there by a long shot. He deserves everything he has. Who gives a shit what he buys? It doesn't say anything about his personality, it says that he is enjoying his hard earned success. To demonize someone for this is just morally and ethically wrong. That's what is wrong with the world these days. Everyone hates on successful people because they are successful. Everyone thinks that they are entitled to someone elses rewards because they don't have what those successful people have. They think that it is inherently unfair for someone like Shaun White to reap the benefits of his career while other snowboarders go unrewarded and unrecognized. fuck fairness, it's unfair to tool on someone like Shaun White for being successful. Grow up.
