As some of you may or may have not noticed... we have just launched version 1 of our iPhone app. 

This has been a long time in development, and I can't thank Adam and Ian enough for all their hard work on it. 

Notice that we took a different approach to this.   Yes, the app is a paid app, so you're going to have to shell out for it... but we kept it ad-free.   Bottom line, we had to hook up Adam as he put an unthinkable amount of work into this thing.

I'm stoked at trying this model of development out, and am really excited to see your guys opinions on it, as well as the adoption rate. 

Anyways, big shout out to Adam and Ian for all their hard work.    Couldn't have gotten here without you guys.

On a serious note, however, I'm on an iPod Touch as well. If I get an iPhone it'll likely have unlimited data, but I think a low bandwidth option would be cool. Maybe something in the settings where you can turn certain features off...?

Damn, sorry for the double post, I hit the reply button. Anyways like someone said above me, it would be cool if there were different settings that you could turn on or off. But cool with the low-bandwidth setting.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. The update is complete, but now we're waiting for Apple to fix some of the certificates that allow us to install apps on the phone.

Just submitted the app and hopefully it will be live in a few days.

Thank you all for bearing with me while I fix this stuff up. I'm very sorry about the delays. This was the first time we've gone through a NS website update that broke iNS and started a new year with Apple, which requires renewing a bunch of items. I'll do my best not to let this happen again.

This is a maintenance release for iNS. The only change that is an update is My Threads now shows all new threads. There are no new features because I've been heavily adding them to iNS 2.

I hope to have iNS 2 out shortly. I'm going to keep the features list to myself in the event some things become too complicated in the short term. However, I will tell you that the next release will use the mobile site, so iNS will be at least 2x as fast. It will also be far, far cheaper than it is now:)

I just got my friends old iPhone 3G and popped in my SIM card, could't be more stoked to upgrade from my shitty crippled first gen iPod Touch

any news from Apples approval process?

on the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs the SIM slot is between the lock button on top, you need to use a paper clip in the little hole to pull out the shelf, and put your SIM card in. On the iPhone 4 I believe its on the side of the phone, but still same idea

Also I think they have a new style of sim card for the iphone 4.  When I got mine they told me why but I forgot.  Basically any of the other iphone's should be fine just not the iphone 4.
