The Tan one on the right = Line Step Up, same construction as the Afterbang, but wider (pretty cure they're 92 underfoot, but not 100% on that) and stiffer (same flex pattern as the Cryptonite, but 100% symmetrical). It's gonna be a park killer next season (and my personal top pick right now).

The Bacons are changed to be more of a park ski (to take the place of the Lizzie), and the Cryptonite is still gonna be around next year too. However, neither of them are symmetrical (they're close, but not quite).

The Bacons are not being changed to be more park oriented, actually, it's quite the opposite. There is now a considerable rocker in the ski which makes it less hard-snow oriented.

And as to when they come out...Line is usually the first one out with their skis, usually sometime in July or August. If I had to guess at the prices, Abang at $360, Masterminds at $330, Cryptonite either $500 or $550, and the Step Up (and this one is a complete guess) is probably gonna be around $400, maybe $450, but that's just a guess.

None of those prices are confirmed, so don't take that as fact.

to my understanding stepups are the same thing as a bangs just stiffer and a bangs fucking suck so no one buy them, but anyways and bacons are way more pow oriented next year

Abangs and masterminds are unchanged...

Abangs = 115-88-115
Masterminds = 115-85-112

And about the Bacons... yes, I misspoke (or typed in this case), but it is still the ski that's going to take the place of the Lizzie as far as the powder jib ski goes (that's more of what I meant), but it can still be taken into the park.

And, I'm pretty sure the Blend is also coming back, and they're unchanged, specs of 132-100-122.

lizzys are in no way a powder jib ski
they are a park ski and bacons are not replacing them in any way

blend would be the next lizzie in my opinion, at 100 in the waist and rocker and its supposed to be more buttery this year, ive been thinkin about getting a pair, they seem really sexy next year.

meh both pairs of those skis sitting in my room(bacons unrockered of course, but that wouldnt help in the park anyway) and the fact that they ride completely differently says so tho

exactly. not only does rocker make the lizzie and bacon completely different the bacons also have a further back mounting point so definitely not a park designed ski. and with that rocker you lose effective edge. there is no way they will ride anything like lizzies. i am quite pissed at line for this year....

yeah not impressed with line due to afterbangs sucking complete dick no chronics lizzys anthems or invaders

the only thing i would want from them would be bacons because they look cool and are rockered, but i have ep's and non rockered bacons so it would be completely unnecessary

because the sfb is now in a 172 and supposedly pollard is rocking those in the park. ive never ridden lizzies but at the end of this season if i find a pair for the right price ill be sure to get at em

the k2 domain sounds pretty fun, its symmetrical and a 90 waist, so thats pretty decent

idk i think they ski like shit but thats just my opinion, but my friend who has them and barely skis them and definitely not very hard compared to what kids who ski in decent parks do to beat up on their skis, he got like a big crack in the 'sidewall' along like the horizontal laminates and i dunno, i would just never buy afterbangs, maybe for j lev cuz it was awesome when he almost hit that guy when throwing one in the sia video

The blends are completely different next year.  They're going to have early rise tip and tail and be fatter than the 2010 which is gonna be CRRAAAZZAAY

Thats a shame.
Although I'm a guy who likes a stiff ski over a soft, the blend was just on the border for me. I had it the first year it came out, ski the shit out of them, thats how much I loved them, plus it was my everything ski. Now they're dead and chillin in my room. With the fact that they will be softer next year, I know for myself I won't buy them.

My Blends got destroyed, to the point where there was tip rocker on them from the nose butters. The amount of rocker on them next year is just the same as my beat to shit Blends. Which is a good thing.



For another symetrical ski, the Surface New Life will be sick next year.
It's fat (151/122/151), but offered in 3 lengths next year (174,184 and 194)
Sweet rocker on them too.

What are the ones all the way to the right?  They are clearly pretty wide and look like they are at least close to symmetrical with a lot of sidecut too, sorta like Lizzies.  Anyone?

I tried out both the step ups and the chronic cryptonites the other day at a demo and here is my 2 cents. The Step ups were way too stiff for me but had a good length. The chronics on the other hand seemed softer and more fun but did not have the length for me at only 178. I also found it hard to get used to the bigger underfoot while skiing at slower speeds but that wasn’t too big of a issue.

they arent soft by any means, i'd say about 10% tops. they ski a bit softer thanks to the rocker. still my favorite ski produced. super clean all mountain and playful in the park, i just wish they came a bit longer now, the 183 feels short now when i loved it before.

and i like the afterbang. its a basic, beater park ski. i think quality control was a bit of an issue this year, hence a few strange breakages. its tough to get that much wood without imperfections (knots) and try and keep up with the demand that line meets. dont quote me on this, but i think it was the #1 selling twin on the market this year, and there havent been that many complaints about it.
