Newschoolers,
The creativity, skill, & chutzpah demonsrated by your photos has entertained thousands of people for the past 6 weeks, & inspired everyone at GoPro. You rule. Thank you!
Picking the final Round 8 winners was not easy due to so many deserving entries - so we decided to expand this week's winner pool & pick 6 ROUND 8 WINNERS! W00t!
Congrats! (winners below)
Closing down this contest is tough due to the extremely high steeze levels of everyone who didn't win. Therefore, we decided to open up a new, 10 day, themed contest during the run up to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver:
Newschoolers GoPro 4 Olympic Gold
That's right, you have until the lighting of the Olympic torch to submit your photo that shows us how you would use your GoPro HD HERO to cover the Olympic Games competition in HD GoPro Vision.
You could be an Olympic coach, an Olympic competitor, an NBC correspondent, an ESPN analyst, a spectator in the crowd, or a bouncer at a Vancouver bar. But you need to show us your personal GoPro Olympic vision in a single photo.
Same creativity. Same photgraphic vision. Same steeze. GoPro 4 Olympic Gold.
Photos must be submitted before the lighting of the Olympic Stadium torch.
We'll pick 4 GoPro 4 Olympic Gold winners of an HD HERO camera to be announced on Monday 2/15.
Good luck...and go for it!
Sincerely,
GoPro Stoke Patrol
Be A HERO - ROUND 8 WINNERS
Dropping cliffs in nothing but shorts By
Flik
I decided to go all out this round. It would be epic to have a GoPro when dropping cliffs especially if you are doing with nothing but shorts, backpack, and beacon. Yes it was in the backcountry. That's a lot more creative/work than anything I've seen. Yes, that is a big metal can Taped to my helmet.
Tutorial Videos By
Tucks
With the go pro helmet cam I will be able to record tutorials on everything from detuning edges, bending FKS brakes, and waxing so all those on the interweb can watch instead of posting multiple threads on "How to bend FKS Brakes."

This is where I would have taken my GO PRO HD helmet cam today. Too bad I don't have one! Ymir peak on Jan 27, what a day.
An HD Test By

On the East Coast, unlike the Sierra-Nevada's, we got rain. But, If you look close, like High Definition close, the snow is still here. Even under all this demoralizing rain.
In The Past By

Wow my camera sucks. It has bad quality, the footage is black and white, it is super hard to get on my computer, it is constantly running out of tape, I have to hold it and spin the crank to record and if it gets wet it stops working. I think I need a Go Pro Helmet Cam.
RC Plane Cam By
benji.
If I were to win a GoPro HD Hero I would mount it on my remote control plane. This would allow me to get amazing follow cam shots in the park, the backcountry or any place open, with permission from the mountain. The plane is remarquebly stable and would have no problem flying behind someone. As the plane is easy to control I could create mutliple flight path's to mix it up. I have done several tests with a still camera as you can see in the bottom right picture. I would love to replace the still camera with a GoPro.
