Whats with scott skis?

all the new scott skis have he weird like squared tip. any one know why?

I dont know but I know moment skis has the square tip designs also, I dont It effects performance but I could be wrong.

surface is throwing it on a lot of their skis too. It's more of a look thing than anything, it doesn't prefect performance at all. In fact they might be better because you can attach skins to them without the clips slipping.
