Replying to Huckleberry Finn

Although the book uses derogatory terms to refer to slaves, they're not there just to be racist. I think they were included to show the culture that Huck lives in and to exhibit how African-Americans were treated in those times. The Catcher in the Rye was also banned in lots of schools because of the inappropriate things things that were included in it, but it was in there to make the story compelling, not just for the sake of putting it in.
