Replying to How worried/cautious should I be about torrents on my macbook?

Kind of a n00b question but whatever. I'm not going torrent crazy but I'm downloading a few programs (such as final-cut, photoshop, etc) via torrents to put on my new macbook pro. So far I've used isohunt.com for the torrents and transmission to download. Now I understand macs don't necessarily get viruses, but I'm not as familiar with torrents. So basically my question is, what do I have to look for to make sure a torrent I download won't mess up my new baby?
