I have a good one. My friend Humps and I were out riding on sunday and this one guy just kept checking my pass over and over just to piss me off. So eventually we start screwing around with him and saying we don't have a pass and such (he sees us and starts laughing and checks our pass) so he tells us he is going to call ski patrol. Were thinking yeah right what ever (he was smiling and laughing as he said this) so we lap the park and go threw the lift and I decide to be a smartass and stick my pass underneath my goggles so its showing. I do that and they see it. About two hours later as we are getting off a different lift an incredible pissed off ski patroler we will refer to as mustache man stops us and asks us who has the pass issue. When I say pissed I mean pissed. Mustache man must have been looking for us for hours. Anyways we show him are passes which for some reason seems to make him even more pissed then radios to someone saying we have them. At this point we explain the whole story to him and gets even more pissed. He chews us out for wasting his time and my buddy Humps decides to make the smartass comment "Were sorry he called you" anyways after that he jet done to the lift the guys that called us in are at and give them tremendous amounts of shit. They of course say they didn't call anyone. Who knows all I know is I am going to try and avoid mustache man from now on.
Humps is his username and yes I knew its pretty crazy.
at loon the other day i was hitting the jump line and i came over the last jump and a ski patrol tele dude was making turns down the landing. i didnt hit him, but when he stopped on the knol below i tell him this. "excuse me, but could you please not ski on the landing of the jumps? i am blind when coming over the jump and could not see you on the landing and i could have hit you if you were 10 feet to the left"
he then goes on the tell me about how he has every right to ski down the landings because its a public park and that i need a spotter for every jump ( 6ish jumps if i rember). i tell him it is dangerous and that its in the park rules and code to clear the landing as quickly as possible and stuff like that.
i was very kind, but he just seemed to not understand and i wanted to punch him becuase i actually could have gotten hurt.
that is my story.

I ski at snowstar in illinois, a pretty small hill. Most of the ski patrollers dont really say anything to us, they are all volunteer but still do their job when they need to.... not in this situation.
Theres a kid laying down, hurt. on the side of the hill near the trees with about 3-4 ski patrollers around him. One patroller comes down skiing and falls, now theres around 5 patrollers around this one kid who is hurt. The last patroller comes in on the snowmobile but he didnt have the sled on it, dont ask me why.. He comes down too fast on the hill cuts the sled hard towards the kid whose laying there and rolls the snowmobile twice down the hill but he wasnt injured. Since the sled rolled twice it was flooded and they couldnt get it to start, therefore not being able to help the kid as easily. Overall it was quite comical
yea dude. liberty patrol are crazy. theres one pretty cool guy with twintips. i was bombing heavenly and hit a mogul (where you can go off to whitneys way) at the top of a steep section. i flew around 15-20ft in the air landed and kinda bailed (thought i was going into the trees) the ski patrol guy with twins came up and was like "that was sick, if you woulda rode out it woulda been sick". later that night i see him and his friend doing the same thing.
otherwise liberty ski patrolers suck.
