Sony vegas Slow-mo help plz

Ok, so i am working with Sony Vegas 9 and i am wondering if/how you can make a shot slow down gradually into slow-mo rather than just having it jump to slow-mo or having the whole shot be slow-mo. Thanks in advance and K+!!

Do you mean like a ramped slow mo? If you don't want the audio just mute it out I think this is the best way for sony vegas. I can't think of anything else...

for anyone that doesnt want to watch the vid. Insert > event veloctiy. It will bring up a keyframe editor.  Shift click to add new frams,  and you can drag the frames around as you please

um a more simpler way might find it easier to do but depending on what you need this post might be useless

1.put your marker where you want the slow mo to start
2. press S and split the clip into the part you want slow mo and the part you want regualer motion
3. right click on the clip you want to be slowed down
4. select properties
5. make playback rate in between 1.0 and 0.25 depending on how slow you want and how many frames you have
6. you may need to lengthen the clip because the slow mo will make the clip longer

If you want to keep the audio you can add a pitch filter to the audio. Sorry I use FCP so I know the terms from there. If I remember correctly Vegas has a pitch filter. You can decrease the pitch of the audio since it was increased by fastforwarding and it will balance out. you just need to play around with the pitch levels until it sounds natural

if you apply event velocity then your audio needs to be muted(or redubbed to make it sound legit). because its a keyframed effect with linear and quaddratic curves vegas can't match it up with a time stretch.  Event velocity should only be used when you want to apply slow motion in just part of the shot or at varying speeds. 

for all other slow motion just hold control and drag.  by making it longer you slow it down or by shorting the clip you can make it faster.  This type of slo motion should also apply a time stretch to the audio(if grouping is enabled).  If you right click and go to properties youll see a field that says something like 'clip playback'. this is the value that is being changed, so if you want to reset the clip to normal speed, just set the value back to 1.
