for anyone that doesnt want to watch the vid. Insert > event veloctiy. It will bring up a keyframe editor. Shift click to add new frams, and you can drag the frames around as you please
if you apply event velocity then your audio needs to be muted(or redubbed to make it sound legit). because its a keyframed effect with linear and quaddratic curves vegas can't match it up with a time stretch. Event velocity should only be used when you want to apply slow motion in just part of the shot or at varying speeds.
for all other slow motion just hold control and drag. by making it longer you slow it down or by shorting the clip you can make it faster. This type of slo motion should also apply a time stretch to the audio(if grouping is enabled). If you right click and go to properties youll see a field that says something like 'clip playback'. this is the value that is being changed, so if you want to reset the clip to normal speed, just set the value back to 1.
