So my ears are constantly ringing. Sometimes so bad I can't even sleep at night. I asked my doctor but he just said to turn the volume down on my ipod...which i don't have. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew what to do about it.
Definitely sounds like tinnitus, which can be caused by loads of things. Go see an ear doctor (neurotologist i think), they will be able to give you real advice, as opposed to what you got from your primary doc.
Drives me insane sometimes cause it varies all day. For me at least it will like disappear for a week or so and then just come back randomly and ocilate from super high pitch to a medium tone. But it makes it impossible to focus in class.
ENT, ear nose and throat doctor. I just happen to be covering the Ear and related areas in Anatomy, and Tinnitus is usually a sign of something else, like cochlear nerve degeneration or something else. It could be the sign of a problem that will develop later in life. Or it could be due inflammation of some things in the middle ear.
