Travis Rice giving skiers props..JEA!!

Pretty sick that the Big Air man himself is giving skiers props. Theres another vid with Chaz Guldemound(SP) giving props too. A step in the right direction with out a doubt. Although a lot of us on NS can barley stand the X-Games because of shaun white, the commentators, etc... Free skiing got the best recognition out of any sport there. For example, I've had a Jibberish sticker on the back of my car for about a year now and no one has noticed it until today at school. One kid walked up to me and was like "dude is that a Jibberish sticker on the back of your car cause that fool Tom Wallisch had one on his helmet."

nick martini is my favorite skier ever.

thats sick about the jibberish sticker though, the xgames definitly highlighted skiing and kids around me are telling me they think skiing is cool now, haha. i guess people used to just think skiing was racing? oh well, i hate the xgames but im glad it spread some knowledge about skiing

The publicity is the best thing to come out of X games for our sport, that and the announcing.........hahaha

On a slightly different (but pretty similiar) topic...we just got back from SIA where we had several meetings with "snowboard" brands and they tended to be interested in and pumped about the way skiing is going. There will always be the attempt to market the "fuck skiing" brand of rebellion, but it seems to be losing it's edge quickly. We're dropping a video tour of the new Holden gear soon, and u can check out some pics from that day on the site.

Travis is the guy who got me re-interested in skiing.   Due to football in high school I had to give up skiing because of possible injuries during the off season.   I saw the movie Thats it, Thats all and was like woah, if snowboarders are doing this, Skiers must be on another level and they weren't at the time but now, they are certainly are after this Xgames.   Travis has the right attitude and him and Jeremy jones are the sickest boarders out there.  

Im stoked to hear about him giving props, I was also sad to see he didnt make the finals in slopestayle or big air.   I bet the Disco Biscuit flip would have been sick.   I wish him and tanner would do a film together, once tanner heals of course.

Travis' dad is one of the old shredders in Jackson and has worked ski patrol there for a while. Travis knows where respect is due.
