yea, the goalie is the foundation of the team, and the most important member, obviously they want to protect him

pretty much. infortunatly for them (i learned) they would all be suspended from play while everyone on the other team who stayed would have no repercussion. still one or two people backing that poor kid up woulda been nice.

Haahaha, kid got dropped.
I used to play, I once hit a goalie, slashed him on accident. Kid tackled me, and tried to take me out. But my team had my back and it was all good.

depends on the ref.
a full blown fight will get u booted from the game
but ive been in games where a punch or two was thrown and either nothing was done or they got a decent penalty.


but that was kinda ridiculous that the whole other team mobbed that kid.

being a keeper in soccer is just unfair...which is why i love it.

general rule of sports: respect the keeper, cause he can normally get away with fucking you up.

im a goalie in hockey and its pretty funny, if a guy even bumps into me he just gets the shit beat out of him and if the refs not looking i can sneak in some blocker shots, but its tough cause punching someone with a blocker is an automatic 5 game suspension in my league

Personally in hockey I believe that if the goalie comes out of his net he should be fair game to be hit.

Like someone else said, depends on the ref. We had a few major fights a year for about 2 years, and a couple guys got one or two game suspensions, but that was from the school. The refs just ejected them from the game. But then other, smaller fights were long nonreleasable penalties, and if it was just a punch or two, it usually just was a warning or 1 or 2 minute penalty.
