I really want to visit Afghanistan, and a fews ago I had considered joining the Marines to have a chance to go. I'm sure you will all hate on me for that reasoning but that wasn't the only reason I wanted to join.

Nontheless, I'm in college and havent enlisted yet, but those are some amazing pictures.

The point of the pic you fucking moron is to show that going to Afghanistan means that you will probably be getting shot at.

well the point of the other pictures is that Afghanistan is a beautiful country, torn by war, thanks for informing everyone that they will probably get shot at, we were not aware that there was a war going on.

I don't really find Afghanistan all that beautiful. It's like the Rockie Mountains without snow.

Places like Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria (if you are near the ocean) are beautiful places.

Idaho also has Schweitzer and Silver and you can go gopher hunting with the Barrett 50 cal and farmers will pay you to do it. Montana can do the gopher thing too though.

i would rather have 130 and dry than 95 and humid.

I was in southern utah one summer and the high the entire time was 115-120f and it didn't bother me, i got back to NY and it was 85 and humid and i was miserable

Those photos were sick though and sorry for double post

I lollerskated around the room after this one.   Those photos were taken by good photographers more so than a beautiful country, i'd much rather go to norway in the summer, have you seen the roads you can drive/longboard in the fjords HOLY FUCK!

(no hate) Afghanistan has a shit ton of snow, year round in the high elevations. since its arid as hell in the high country of afghanistan  the snow is light as fuck. The place reminds me of southern utah, i hope to find myself exploring the primitive terrain of Afghanistan some day.

(hate) On a contraversial note i will say that mexico is more violent then afghanistan right now. Seriously, mexico is fucked up, alot of people getting kidnapped and murdered and no one is covering that shit (media wise).
