Wisdom Teeth / Smoking

How long do you have to wait to spark after your wisdom teeth are pulled? I'm getting 4 pulled and only one has breached through, the others are still under the gums.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting an epic story out of this thread.

As far as your question, I honestly don't know. I would guess as soon as you can eat just about everything comfortably, so anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks.

wait till you get the stitches or until you feel like the holes have completely closed.
otherwise you'll get dry sockets and hate yourself.

Just got mine out a few weeks ago. They should tell you about this. I only took a week off of eating solid food, but still have holes that are closing (didn't have to get stitches). I would say just lay off of it for 3-5 days. They told me that day 3 was the pivotal day where you would feel the most pain, so I just got hopped up on meds until after day 3.

I waited like 3 or 4 days I think and then I smoked like I would normally, the thing about smoking is its not the smoke doing anything (minus possibly making an infection, cigarettes that is) its the act of sucking, no homo. They'll tell you that for about 2 days after surgery dont drink out of a straw, you pull the blood clot out and you run a high risk of infection. So, in short, don't suck too hard on anything and you should be fine, wait till the holes heal a little bit before smoking.

Listen son, i have been around the block so I am going to come at you with my well-researched oppinion.

Wisdom teeth extraction is a minor operation that lets you get put out with great drugs, then you walk out with some sort of opiate for the pain.

Take the painkillers as needed, and smoke weed whenever you want.

My 'recovery' was having a wonderful week of eating yummy soft foods and just chillin. I know my body, so I was able to judge. If you can tolerate smoking; then go for it, just take it easy.

i smoked the day after and i was fine. I just inhaled mostly threw my nose. Id recommend it and eating pancakes hahah. The worst thing that can happen is that you get a drysocket, but i heard that sucks. Good luck

For the record my buddy smoked a cigarette first thing as soon as he got out of the dentist and smoked his normal consumption of cigs and bowls the whole time he was recovering.

i was taking bong rips the day i got mine pulled.   My friend had to milk the bong for me cuz my mouth was to soar haha.  The only thing is, is that it makes the holes bleed more.  Other then that.  Get High

i waited 3 weeks to smoke because i couldn't smoke during that time anyways and i had one of worst experiences i have heard of. Getting them out didn't phase me but as soon as i started smoking again my mouth would throb terribly and feel horrible, i can't describe it but it happened every time i smoked for literally a couple of months, luckily it seems to have finally gone away but man it was awful

you dont want a dry socked and if u smoke u will pull your clots out its basically the same thing as drinking thru a straw.. dry sockets are nasty its when your clots break and all the blood leaves your back molars too re-clot. soo it gives you an incredible migraine and feel as if your hearts beeting in your teeth.

smoking causes dry sockets due to the suction effect. I waited a full week and 2 days before I smoked but it varies depending on your personal healing time. Also VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT BLOW ANYTHING!!!! NO COKE, NO NASAL DRUGS!!

the thing about wisdom teeth is when you get em out it fucks with your sinus cavities and theres a weird connection there so if you blow coke of other nostril drugs you can end up creating a bubble between your brain and your skull. It happened to this girl I know she did a ton of coke after she got em out and had to get her skull drilled and drained and shit. fucked up.

word. edibles are great for the about 5 days you need after the operation to avoid dry socket. just cook up some quick firecrackers or if you have the time make some cannabutter for some better tasting edibles.

Searchbar for sure. What are you smoking? If your talking cigs you want to wait till that shit is healed. If your talking about weed, smoke some headies, use a vap if you can. And just take a rip enough to get you feelin alright. Your not going to want to just sit there and smoke, with open holes in your mouth.

I smoked after mine becausde they gave me tylenol 3. I was pissed. They had to pretty much beat the teeth out of my head with a chisel and they hit a nerve at one point, and I couldn't even get anything good. They might as well have given me baby aspirin and told me to go fuck myself.

i got dry sockets roughly eleventeen times before they finally healed. It was a miserable experience every time. On the bright side though, I got a new bottle of drugs each time,


Smoke thru your nose and you should be all good. As mentioned above, the suction from dragging on a cig, straw, etc is what does ya in.

I quit smokeing for weeks when i got my wisdom teeth out but i still got dry sockets. Ok so the night before the surgry i was planing on quiting for 7 days until my mouth was feeling better but a week went by and my mouth was in an extreme amount of pain. i havn't had a cig but i still got dry sockets. the clots of blood must have got sucked out from eating food or something. But anyway i go back to the doctor and they tell me i have dry sockets, they take a little piece of cloth that soaked in medicine thats on the end of a hook, they then push the cloth down into the socket where the tooth was. WORST pain ever, i couldn't even move my jaw let alone jam a peice of cloth in the socket. I almost puit smoking all together because my mouth hurt so much for two weeks.
