these are the most fucking stupid comercials i'v ever seen. first of all, almost all weed is grown in america, and the small percentage that's not is grown in mexico. seccond of all it wouldent even be an issue if it wasent illigal, and third of all we get almost all our oil from afganastan and pakastan so if you buy gasoline, your supporting terrorism!! yeah that makes sense...

Yeah, those commercials are some dumb shit. Terrorists in the Middle East tend to get their money from rich oil families and favorable governments, not drugs.

Plus, drugs in general don't ALL come from Afganistan. Only opium bi-products come heavily from there.

adcritic.com was one of the best sites on the net...too bad bandwidth (especially when you are serving almost a terrabyte of data!) costs so damn much.

Anyways, Piot and I are doing a presentation on the war on drugs, and we REALLY need that clip. I can't seem to find it on any of the p2p networks.
So if anyone can help us out it would be greatly appreciated :-)

canada supplies the states with weed, but deffanatly not the majority of it

i don't know how anyone can think that the majority of weed in any country is imported. Take a friggin' walk through the bush near your house and i am pretty sure almost everyone will eventually stumble across a crop.

The dumbest thing about that add is that the Taliban had outlawed opium farming, but now under the new government the Northern Aliance is using it's helicopters to smuggle drugs and the warlords are already fightening over poppy grounds.

even during the taliban reign opium production stayed at 100%. You can't control the largest opiate production area in the world.

Actually there was a report by an american reporter that put numbers to the opium exporting from Afghanistan, before the Taliban banned the warlords, and their subjects from exporting opium, Afghanistan exported 3,276 tons of raw opium a year, when they outlawed it the export rate dropped to just 185 tons a year. The Taliban was fundamentalist, it didn't like the opium trade, the new government is largely controlled by the war lords now (a great CBC report showed that people went to see the powerefull warlords about their political quiffs, not anyone from the interim government). These warlords want profit, and they are of course want to trade in opium because it is profitable. Warlords are allready fightening within inthem selves for controll of fertile grounds now that the Taliban has fallen.
