UN-rockering skis??? help

so ive been riding a pair of 181 Armada AR6's for 3 years now, probably around 110 days total, and then 10 days of urban. firstly the skis have been holding up so great, no dissapoinments as far as durability goes. however, the tails have some bad rocker going on from ollie-ing and popping. they are as rockered as my bibbys.

how do i unrocker these so i can still rip on them for the restof this season until i can get some new ones?

Well, if you try to un-rocker them, there is a chance that they will break. 

You could try heating up the section that needs to be un-rockered with a hair dryer or something and put them in a vice, or something similar, and yank on them. 

I've seen a ski shop do this by putting the ski between two closely positioned vertical poles.  They just yanked on the ski until it bent back, but I'm still really surprised it didn't break.  I think the ski had metal in it though...

I think that it would be a bad idea to try and re-camber your skis.  you would have to use a heat gun, and heat up the cores and then bent back your skis through some sort of clamp.  Even if you got that far, how would you manage to replicate the camber which they had originally.  I hope it works out though, mabye you will have some luck

Best bet would be to do what everybody has suggested: Heat and bend gradually. But I would just ski them unless you're really set on getting them back to normal.

my thoughts exactly. it might be cool to remount them backwards so the rocker is in the tip, then rocker the new tails(old tips), then put the bindings back in the original holes and have tip and tail rockered AR6s. it might not work to well but at least it would be a conversation piece in the park

haha i'm sorry but that's one of the worst ideas i've ever heard.
the ar6's aren't really even that close to symmetrical so the flex pattern/sidecut would be fucked.

i know, i have ar6's. but it sounds like he isnt happy with the current condition of his skis so why not screw around with them?

i wouldn't waste your time' if you try and bend them back they will snap while you try to, or on your next back seat landing

uh yea like i would say do the experiments with them as long as you are ok with not using them again cause this could mess them up bad it would be cool if you could make it work tho

hahaha funny stuff. but trustttt me on this, skis that arent meant to be rockered that get rockered by using them a lot, are not good. the tips are 0 camber and the tails are very rockered. it makes skiing very very hard. im just gonna forget about it though until the fall when i can buy a new pair. thanks for theinput though guys

Yo ray just everytime after you ski put your skis together with a ski strap at the top and a ski strap at the bottom then stick like a 4x4 block of wood right under your boot. All the kids at the ramps do it to keep the camber even after hitting the water so many times. It should at least help a little bit. But don't worry too much about it, my abangs are so rockered now it's not even funny.

When the ski starts getting rockered that means the core is bending or breaking. Trying to bend it back will likely just damage it more. I would leave them and hope for the best.

DONT TRY TO BEND THEM BACK. put a 4x4 in the middle as earlier suggested by someone who I cant see right now. If you try to bend them back you may end up bending them back in the wrong spot and fuck your skis over completely, this happened to a friend of mine luckily it was some very shitty skis. Think of it like this, you take some metal like a coat hangar and bend the straight part of it, after you try to bend it back it never comes out the way it was before sometimes its even more messed up. Just my 2 cents. but i love my ar6's.
