Which Laptop?

I know there are several threads already like this, but i didn't want to threadjack someone else, also I think I'll get the best answers by making my own thread.

So, back to the thread title, which laptop would anyone here recommend? I can probably spend up to $1800, and I want a laptop with:

-at least 4GB of ram
-good graphics card
-good for listening to music (good speakers, etc.)
-long battery life

I don't like using Mac's that much, but I'm willing to hear your arguments (and maybe you can convince me haha).

I've looked, and the Toshiba Qosmio and the Sony Vaio's seem to be in the area of what I'm looking for If that helps. Also, would anyone be able to give a quick review/opinion on those laptops?

screen size? i have a sony vaio fw450. got mine for 1100 and it fits your description. i have 4gb ram, 320 gb hd, 16.4" hd screen, blueray player and dvd+-rw, good battery and loud speakers. i can run MANY programs at once too, great multitasking.

ive always trusted sony, so it was easy for me. toshiba's are decent as well though. asus makes a nice pc too.
