That's what I'm talking about. I'm saying that people who are fucked up and allowed to express their opinions (sort of like if NAMBLA were allowed to act), that's fine, but if no one tells them their wrong, then they begin to act upon those opinions.

there are these two brothers i work with that are the nicest dudes ever. they're twins, big football players and they'll go out of their way to help you. But they also have the most racial hate out of anybody, its just how they we're brought up. i dont hold it against them, they just hate black people cause they were taught that. we can't all be ideal cultural peace keepers

Racism is something that people believe in to hate a black person, an asian person, or a mexican person to name a few based on either their own personal experiences with them or how they were raised. Nothing I say will make them change that fact and I will be honest everyone is a little racist in some form once in awhile. No one is perfect in this world.

id argue that the roots of racism go way deeper than an individuals personal experience. i think its safe to say that the majority of people who hold racist views have never really experienced such a traumatizing event that would cause them to hold such ignorant ideas about other human beings. and theres definitely a difference between casual stereotyping, which i agree everyone shares, than outright racism. no one is perfect in this world seems like a pretty apathetic excuse. just because you cant change their views doesnt mean you should accept them and try to live symbiotically with them

i know a ton of people who are slightly racist. shit, im a little bit racist and my girlfriend is asian and one of my best friends is black.

theres a difference between being a racist and being exposed to stereotypes over and over until you realize there is some truth to them, sometimes. stop trying to be so fucking PC everyone.

as long as the kid isnt commiting hate crimes or expressing his views publicly then let him be.

 Kinda like, why does he hate black ppl? Prolly his dad's views passed down. But we can't know that for sure.

 Now the goal, or at least my goal, when I meet a racist person, is to try and get them to understand a human is a human. And all humans derseve some sort of basic respect.

  So I dunno, shits a conundrum. The best way would be if he met a older wiser african dude and actually got to know the guy a little. But with him being a rasict, he would most likly be stubborn, ignorant and completely avoid that type of situation.
