No way in hell. The SLS is hideous. I'd much rather have the sl65 black series for the price if i was buying a Mercedes.

Slap gull-wing doors on an sl65 black and it would be just as emulating and look twice as good. The original 300sl from 55' was ugly, as is this one.

Im a huge fan of the AMG line, but this car is fucking ugly. everyones on its dick because its like the classic, but they should have just left the classic alone.

I love how everyone has been hating on supercars only being spec'd without a full blown manual- the goal of most supercars is to go fast- to do this you need incredible shift times- not even the greatest drivers on the planet can keep up with a smooth paddle system- so please before you go and say- aww it ruins the experience- kill yourself- if your that into it- just install a squeaky toy where the clutch pedal should be and step on it whenever you go to shift

I love that they are trying to revitalize the Gulwing, but I don't think there is any possible way to remake that, probably the most stunning car ever made.

Old to new, it just doesn't compare to me.

No, fuck that. I am well aware that I am not a professional race car driver and that I would not be able to drive it to its fullest potential. However, driving a car is about the experience, and shifting the car, for many people happens to be very large part of that experience. I haven't driven cars on that level, but I have driven Porsche 997's in both tiptronic and manual and the 6 speed manual was by far a more pleasurable experience. So before you get your elitist "I know how the car is supposed to be" nut off, fuckin understand that people paying that much money might like it a different way. They know they are not Michael Schumaker, but for many shifting is one of the more pleasurable experiences of driving.

then buy a Aileron or a Porsche- if your buying a SLS AMG its because you intend to do sub 4 second 0-60 as well as reach the full potential of the car-. If you want to have fun shifting, buy an m3- and I dont know what your talking about- but PDK on a Porsche is by far the smoothest dual electric clutch on a car I have ever driven- so as stated earlier- if you want a manual for the experience- buy another car- dont waste your money- I would love to put some variant of a paddle shift on my evo if it means I will go faster-except the cheapest aftermarket semi-manual transmission on the market is 7 gs
