Snowboarding help!

this is my 3rd year riding and im a pretty good riding when im riding regular but then when i go to goofy i just cant seem to get it at all. should i set my bindings to sertaint setting to learn on or somthing like 15 15. i think mine right now is 16 14 or somwhere around those lines. if anyone can help me out that would be amazing +karma or help and bumps thanks guys.

If you've only been riding for 3 years you probably should turn your bindings down a little bit, 15 seems a bit high for anyone who's not hucking big stuff or railing turns. I would suggest going with 8-10 depending on weight and boot size...

i dont snowboard, but i do all the tuning for my friend who is really good...he rides at 9 and 15.   Besides changing your stance, i would suggest widening it a little bit if you havent already.

I've been riding for probly close to 8 years now and I run 12 in the front and -9 in the back.  I ride mainly park but every once in a while I ride all mountain. Riding switch just takes a lot of practice. I would ease up on the angle a bit and mabey bring it down to 9 or less.  Then just go to like a green circle and practice. Tell yourself you'll ride the whole way down switch and eventually you'll get it. If you're having trouble, just think about how your body moves when you ride regular, and try to replicate it in reverse.

learn to make goofy turns on a skateboard or long board first, it helps out along with the movement

thanks everyone for the great help! alright well il try turing down my settings a little does anyone have suggestions on stances. i know people already posted some and il try those out to but any more. and y stance is as wide as it gets i belive

When learn to ride switch on a snowboard it's just like you start over with learning how to snowboard again. So back to basic with your turns. Start really slow, sliding switch, when you wanna make a turn, remember to keep your weight on your front leg, make a good up-down movement, maybe even point your front hand in the direction you wanna go.
Even tought someone how to snowboard? Try to think up for yourself what you would say people should watch when they learn how to turn and do it yourself =P

Furthermore, I wouldn't set your board at the widest stance possible, unless you are a giant yourself. Have a width stance is really stable for railtricks, but it kills your up-down movement necessary for good turns, especially when you're still learning.

Hmm, it became a pretty long story, hope you understand tho, I always have a hard time explaining things in English

your binding angles depend on your stance width and the terrain you will be riding... and of course preference. pm me with your height, the model of your board (and length), and what you ride in a normal day (like 40% park, trees, groomers, whatever) and ill help you out. don't just dial them down cause other people say its too big for them. 15 is actually more average than big, but i guess we'll see when i get you sized up

I ride about 90% park and I find that it really helps to have it the same for both feet. I have mine set to 15
-15 and It makes switch riding a lot easier when it's the same on both feet. Also wide stance helps for spinning.

i ride switch all the time, i have my bindings angles at like 10 or something, higher angle makes it easier. Riding switch just takes practice. In no time after practicing you will have the hang of riding switch
