Broken leg?

I broke my leg pretty badly on new years day. ive had a full leg cast on for four weeks and i just got a cast below the leg, and ill have this four abour four weeks. than i have to get a boot thing for idk how long, i guess till ican walk.

Does anybody know if ill be able to make the end of the season in the east coast?

i missed all of last season due to a broken leg. suck it up. you'll live.


on a lighter note, learn to crochet. if you already know how, make a vest.

ya it was just the two bones sliced diagnolly, no screws or anything, i think my ankles already healed though

wow thats exactly what i did. if you have twelve weeks you may not make it back to ski again. but make sure to walk as much as you can without your crutches when you become able. helps with dystrophy and no rehab later. and when you go to get your second cast make sure to clean all that dead skin off your leg before they put the next one on. make sure to ask them to do it. and do not try to scratch it with long sharp things.

i broke my tib/fib in november, both broken straight across they were both in 2 pieces. i still have 5 to 6 more weeks on crutches, but im able to put weight on it now. its a long recovery though, both of my bones are still pretty much in two pieces. the only way i can walk is because i have a rod in my tibia.

but hey good luck man. take things slow and dont push it or do anything the doctor tells you not to.

i broke my tib fib in late september. clean break, snapped it right in half. got surgery and 5 screws to put it back in place because my ankle got twisted up pretty bad. was in some sort of cast/splint/boot until late november. walked on it for 3 weeks after that, then skied for the first time dec. 21. i have no pain at all now.
i guess recovery time is different for everyone though. so keep your head up, don't rush it, and you'll be skiing again.

they way i see it, a ski boot is essentially a lower leg cast anyways

spring skiing hit a rail and slid off early. stopped dead in the dirt. tib fib in half
