Side Jumpers Getting Ridiculous at SR

If anyone has been in the jib park at sr, you know that its getting fucking ridic. 95% of people in there are 40 year old guys with their drunk friends. and if you think im just bitching. last week, goin up to hit an up rail at decent speed, i get cut off right before i pop, i try to stop, fall forward, and break my right arm. he didnt even help me get down to the lodge. god damn

but seriously that sucks, I usually like to laugh at those dudes at SR but it gets redic if people are actually getting hurt. Hope you get well soon and I will give the golden oldies a spray next time I'm there haha

so dont report every one, but if you see one repeatedly doing it, then report him. especially if hes drunk, they will at a minimum yank his pass for the day

when there is someone on the jump i wont throw down, but i will never not hit the jump. i ll send it to a side or real deep, going over people is super bonus points. just remember to yell "thank you" as you scare the living daylights out of them. they wont do it again, ever.

nah i wont do it to little kids, usually thats more their parents fault than the kids anyways, they are too young to know better. but when its the full grown man in jeans and a starter jacket im all for scaring the living fuck out of em.

i was doing a five off of the third jump in our line when a gaper snowboarder cut right in front of me (down the landing from me) i had to carve as hard as i could switch to avoid him, and gave him a good talking to.  i'd bet my life he NEVER does it again, i put that guy in his place.  he risked injuries for both of us, and i'm glad we both got out of it with me being pissed and him being scared.

side jumpers are better than 4 year old instructional skiers. i swear they come in the hundreds to try to 'launch' the jumps and just stop right on the lip. it gets me so fucking pissed, theres a mini park for a reason.

yell more. always yell more. establish yourself the alpha male at sunday river by peeing whereever the fuck you want, body checking small children, yelling somemore at parents who bring their kids into the park, barking at gapers, spitting, cussing, smoking. be large and obnoxious and scare them away.

dont make fun of us side jumpers. We are just trying to get a feel for being in the air. I like to try little iron crossers or X grabs. My new Line Afterbangs make them really easy, so im getting better. thanks Line!

haha you have no freakin idea how bad it is at app terrain park.  During MLK while i was working in the people were literally running trains on the texas airs as we call them.  It was so ridiculous that we decided to make the theme of the rail jam that weekend gaper.  If i have time tonight ill upload the vid.

they should just make it so you have to take a brief training session to be allowed to go into the park. or hire someone to just hang out at the entrances and do a little light profiling on people who look like they dont know what the fuck a jump or rail is actually for. then that person could use they're people skills to not only help spread park safety awareness but filter out the potential accidents (gapers) and either go over avoiding skiing down landings and fucking up all the lips for rails and shit.

hahaha. +k but seriously. it gets really bad sometimes at my park. i just yell at people. my friend tries to be all nice about it but i just bark at them and shit. park crew doesnt care if i do that either. i think we need a giant sign at the entrance that says "DO NOT JUMP OFF SIDES OF FEATURES"

you dont know the meaning of side jumpers until you've skied at a place like blue hills, MA. every 5 or so minutes a 3-4 year old first- day skier will come booking, pizza straightlining it over every rail lip, unable to stop or turn, and the only way they can stop themselves is by bouncing off people standing at the base of the trail. its funny as hell to watch until you see little billy get clotheslined by an innocent bystander

i got cut off at my hill once when i was going into a jump, i ended up stopping the guy(mid 40s) and swearing at him for 5 min, then ski patrol came and clipped my pass for being un friendly to a non season pass holder

What most people on here will see as the in-run to a booter, or the booter to a feature, gapers will see as an empty patch of snow, waiting to be skied. Hence, the masses of snaking and side jumping that goes on.

i was hitting the jump line at my local mountain, and there was a gaper in the third jump, which is a step over, and i almost shifty-decapitated him

Some kid cut right under the landing of a jump I was hitting after I screamed drop the sad thing is after I had fallen as he was skiing away he had a NS sticker on his helmet so if your really on here go fuck yourself.
