chic chocs if you want real mtns, abandoned ski areas if you want some untouched stuff but it'll be pretty flat

From what I've heard, Jay sounds like it gets a pretty good amount of snow. My resort out in CA got 11 feet of snow in five days. /claim.

i skied 3 feet at magic on march 1st 2 years ago, faceshots every turn for the first like 5 hrs of skiing because nobody goes there

East Coast powder days are all about storm watching and driving to the storms that do occur.

The likelihood of a storm day occurring at Jay are greater simply as they do get more snow annually than any other major ski area in the east. But you can't plan a trip in advance and expect powder, unless you are fortunate enough to have a storm roll through when you are there. EC pow gets tracked pretty quickly.

Mount Sutton gets a lot of snow but also gets a lot of rain, but they do have some good tree skiing. Tremblant, Le Massif and the chic chocs if your into hiking for it.

sort of an east coast backcountry day. Make a decent jump, ect..
