I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this for the first time. Needless to say the final product is almost too good to fucking believe, but the control he has with his materials is INSANE. I can't even imagine how many hours he has invested into practicing this. His movements are so loose, yet so confident, like he's conducting a symphony with his paint cans. It's really sick to watch an amazing artist at work.

He wasn't adding any paint when he was doing that. He was just tearing pages out of a magazine and using them to texture the surface by taking some of the paint up and smearing it and shit. I've watched it about 20 times and I'm still speechless; especially with the shimmering affect on the water. Un-fucking-believable.

have you ever been to any tourist destination? ive literally seen like 100 different people doing these planet things with spray paint on the street, it was cool the first time but there must be a trick to it or something because everyone turns out as good as that just slightly different colours and shapes and stuff.

And yeah I kinda know what you mean freezed, but I almost shit my pants when they zoomed in on the lake. It's retarded how much detail this guy was able to get in it with almost no effort. Haha and it's just so entertaining to watch him pull objects out of the mess of paint.

there is a formula to making these paintings, which loses any merit that it could possibly be considered art.

Granted the formulaic quality takes away from its difficulty, it most definitely does NOT disqualify it as art. Do you have any idea how formulaic DaVinci was? Is the Vitruvian Man not art in your eyes? That drawing is the DEFINITION of formulaic.

formulaic in the sense that there are many people who can produce variations of these, but with all the same theme.

while i believe there is only one vitruvian man.
