Rothbury postponed until 2011?!

I dont know if any of you have heard or even been to Rothbury in past years in western michigan but its been postponed due to no bands being able to show up.  Last year was rockin with  The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Snoop, Damian Marley, Girl talk, Cold war kids, Matisyahu, Kid cudi, Rebelution and many more.  Anyone ever made the trip to Rothbury?
It sucks that its postponed.

yeah i heard it was postponed due to new strict noise control laws made in rothbury and the surrounding areas. supposedly if a show goes past 1 am bands are charged huge fines for every 15 mins past 1

Its not due to any noise laws.
its because they could not get the right big bands to come play.

IM SOOO BUMMED i was definitely planning on making it to Rothbury this summer but now I think im gonna have to go to Camp Bisco if I can get to the east coast. And ill definitely go to red rocks at some point this summer to see phish if they come back or string cheese

dude, you didnt even list the REAL musicians there who killed it...
STS9, Pretty Lights, Toubab Krewe... not only do they have the mainstream shit, but also represent for real musicians who throw down hard. its depressing it has been postponed, wanted another fatty road trip out there. maybe things will change in a month or two

I don't understand why you keep on about Wheatland so much. Its not really even in the same category as Rothbury. Pointless to compare the two.

i just like to hate on rothbury like you might have read for joining on the bangwagon here.

although they aren't the brightest bulbs over at rothbury...i mean the fest is over the 4th of july weekend, could you pick a harder weekend to book big acts? it would make sense that is when the money talks and the band goes where the cash is.
