Today after hitting jumps, not only did i have shin bang, but the outside of my calf where it meets the top of the boot is all bruised. Do Booster Straps help this and also are there any other ways to prevent this?
I have the same problem sometimes - tighten the middle buckle of your boot (or the one closest to your ankle) to help stabilize you ankle so it'll prevent your calf from slamming into the back of your boot (btw, this is caused by landing backseat repeatedly with a loose boot/low flex).
anything that will reduce volume around your lower leg will help. Most shops carry firm foam insrts that they can apply to the outside tounge of the boot. Other things are booster straps, shin eliminators, and there are a few other products out there
