soooooo easy to monday morning quarterback with spectator sports...

i wonder how many NSer's have ever been in a high pressure, team sports environment? let me tell you, its a little different than skiing.

then take whatever experience you have multiply it by 100 then you have what it would be like to play in this game. IMO.

I'd say the incredibly vast majority of them have at least PLAYED football in highschool. I kinda do think Haney has to be able to swing well, how do you think he taught the BEST golfer in the world to improve his swing? Well, he has a fucking righteous swing himself.

he may have a good swing, but he doesnt have a perfect swing. he knows what to look for and what good mechanics are. its possible to know whats good and whats bad without doing it yourself...

you can still know what to look for without being able to do it yourself.... notice how i didnt say it would have been easy for favre to run or throw to a more open guy, because i dont know what its like to have that much pressure

i do however know he made a big mistake

i know tim tebow has a relatively extremely slow release and extends the ball way too far from his body, which is gonna cause lots of fumbles when he steps up to the much faster nfl

Im not trying to be an asshole but there is no such thing as the perfect swing. There is a correct swing for each individual, because each person has a different swing. There is a swing called matching swing elements and when all of them match then you have the correct swing for that person, if one is off than their swing is incorrect. For example Jim Furyk has a horribly ugly swing but he has matching swing elements and that is why he is a great player.

But andy is sort of right in this one, you dont have to have the perfect swing or be the best golfer to know how to teach it or know about it. Jim Suddee one of the top 100 teachers in the U.S can barley swing a club anymore teaches many tour pros and does a great job with them.

Let's get back on the subject of football. Arguably one of the best football trainers is Joe DeFranco, he trained Brian Cushing. People said the SAME shit about Cushing that people are saying about Tebow now. 'Oh Cushing isn't an every down linebacker' 'Cushing hits like a pussy'

Look at what fucking Cushing has done, he had an AMAZING year with the Texans.

Joe DeFranco is the best coach because he WAS the best player. He was an amazing linebacker in highschool, then unfortunately got a tumour in his back and to this day lives in constant pain..but because he was such a good player he knows what to teach people. Jim Suddee can barely swing a club anymore, well I fucking bet he could swing one when he was younger.

First of all favre had no reason to throw that ball.


Second there should have never been a pass play in the first place. Because...THE VIKINGS FUCKING HAD 12 MEN ON THE FIELD!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!??! How can you make a mistake like that at that point int he game the season everything thats fundamentals and not to mention it was right after a time out when they should have had all their personnel ready.

Well looks like I get to wait another 12 years for a chance.

I am still pissed off. Overall, probably the most intense game i have ever seen. There are so many things I can point a finger at... not just Brett's last interception:

There is no way that last Saints catch was a completion.
Pass interference? Horrible call
12 guys in the huddle? Stupid mistake
AP, Harvin and Berrian fumbles in critical times
Why is Favre getting hit so much? He got killed
I hate OT. Comes down to a coin flip.

Gonna miss Brett. His love for the game is what makes football fun to watch. Dancing, jiving, chest pounding and taunting make me want to throw up.

being a packers fan, i am completely and thoroughly relieved.  I am overjoyed that he couldn't come back and win a super bowl with the vikings, and i totally feel like a massive weight has been lifted off my chest.  Now let's just hope like crazy that he retires for good and stays that way.

I honestly can't think of any member besides maybe skiierman or eheath or whoever else used to go on rampages and spam random forums to get their count up who has posted as much as Panda. andyju is dead on when he says Panda had like 4,000 less posts just a few months ago. It's less about the spam and more about the fact that Panda now has no life outside of NS.

And Panda isn't even spamming random forums to get his post count up. He's legitimately reading and responding to everything. Which is even more pathetic.
