Hopefully My Last Thread Asking About Skis

Now... I want a park ski, and the S3 is really looking good.  It's 98 underfoot which is kinda the only reason i'm sketched out about it.  I like wide skis (I've got Bacons) but I also like skinny skis for park.  This would be my only pair of skis other than the Bacons.

So, I've scoured NS for like an hour looking for reviews, threads, etc, and I've read and watched all of the stuff on the Rossi website, but I just want to know how these perform in the park.

What's the swingweight?
Are they fun on rails and not tear out/crack edges?
How light are they?
What's the rocker like?

I've seen edits with people slaying on this years' S3s (Clownschool) and I'd just like a solid review on them.  I can get a good deal on them, so price isn't the issue.

The thing I found about this ski was it did everything ok. It turned pretty well on the groomed on the average snow day. Held up pretty well at speed. It did ok in the park, but the +3 mount wasn't ideal for park since I'm used to being nearer centre. When the snow fell it didn't do bad given its small waist. Its obviously not designed for the 2 feet of fresh days, but it didn't float bad once you got your speed up, you could land switch in pow too as long as the landing was steep. But as soon as the slopes mellowed out a bit, they don't float all that well and just feel a bit sluggish.
I rode the 177 (shop had no 186s) which may have been the problem since they measure so short (more like 173) but I'm not a huge guy so it wasn't too much of a problem, I ride 171 park skis. Honestly they weren't bad but they lacked a fun factor, I found them dull. A bit on the heavy side given they are a narrow ski, lacked pop and at the same time weren't all that fun for buttering on. When I took them down a pillow line they just didn't give the bounce that I like to feel.
I just can't quite see what the point of them is. I was considering buying them because when I travel I can sometimes only take one pair of skis. But I know when I was packing I would look at them and think "If it snows I'm gonna want something fatter and if it doesn't I'll want something more fun".

In addition, I wouldn't buy them as a park ski because they had narrow edges and I think they wouldn't last all that long (I can't tell you how narrow but narrower than Lines, Moments and K2s.

ive skied both these and the s5 in the park. and honestly the s5 is better at eerything except pow and trees. the s3 lacks the pop and fun factor the s5 has, and cant carve up the groomers as good either. i dunno if this helps but the s5's ski a lot like a fatter AR6. s3's just didnt do it for me

i can't help you with the s3's but if you are looking for a skinny park ski you might like the 2010 atomic punx. it's super playful and somewhat stiff so it pops hard.

haha, well i'm not sure about it yet... i feel that they just might not have the best durability, etc.

any more suggestions about skis?

have you thought about the kung fujas? 95 under foot... mini rocker is sick.... i love mine.

No problem.
I would get the Reno Rockers without a second thought. I have no doubt in my mind they are the best rockered park ski there is. Moment make amazing skis, the most durable I've ever ridden. I loved the Rockers and I'm a dick for selling my pair.
