This book sucked major asshole

but your thesis needs a little bit of flowery bullshit to sell the whole "i read the novel" bs

maybe just something like: "In Chenwe Ochibi's (or however the fuck you spell it) novel Things Fall Apart, Okonkwo's gradual decline into depression and ultimately suicide can be explained by his unwillingness to open his mind to new viewpoints and embrace societal change as the natural will humanity"

I hated that book so much; it was so badly written and so boring - why we had to study it I do not know....

i wrote a kick ass essay on it senior year of high school. so kick ass the teacher actually took time out of a class that wasnt mine to tell me that it made her smile after reading the first line.

but seriously if you want to have a unique essay write it about how civilization isn't necessarily the way the white man makes it but it is in the eye of the beholder. it's not that he was unable to change and that led to him killing himself it is that he did not want to change he liked his society the way it was and the missionaries had no right to change it for him.
