What dj gear?

So i'm really into dj'ing and stuff, and I now have a midi-controller...
But I want to buy cd-decks, Its gemini 600 vs numark NDX 400 vs american audio radius 2000...
I don't know about these cd players, but I know they are not so expensive, they are around 300 euros..
Any help?

all of those CD players are pretty bad

The american audio is the most respected brand out of all of those though

Oh I just looked up the american audio, you can get pioneer decks for the same price. Go with pionneer cdjs

The american audios are cheaper then the "good" pioneers? The cdj 400 is way more expensive...

look for some used cdj200s. Thats what I had and they were great.

But yeah you still shouldnt have a problem with the american audios if you HAVE to get them. Ive heard decent things about their mixers, dunno about their cdjs though, but they are the same cdjs that stanton makes soooo they should be aight

i dislike American Audio CDJs very much. one of them bombed out on me in the middle of a set. yeah, fuck those things. go with 200s. the 1000s are rockin. my buddy just picked up a set of them. get em if you can afford em. you may have to sell your house...

the cdj200s and the cdj1000s use the same pitch circuits and i think the same cd drives. thats why i love the 200s

Yeah well, the cdj 1000 is quite expensive, and I don't want to spent so much money on dj gear... I looked to the cdj 200 and I like them but they don't have USB , and the 3 cd players that I gave have USB, I really think I will need the usb thingy... :)
So except from pioneer, you guys don't know a good cd player that does the job? (like a cheap pioneer or something?)

because, I can use my usb-sticks at home for mixing, and I would only use cd's when I'm going somewhere else

i was completely unaware of that. i dont think they have a waveform display though if im not mistaken? ive become a real fan of waveforms.

nope no waveforms, but I think waveforms are silly, but then again I spin vinyl so




and OP, why not serato or just burn CDs? cause what if you have a gig at a club, and their cdjs dont have usb? (which is very possible)

400 euro is alot of money. but if youre already willing to drop it go ahead, like i said, those sons of bitches are expensive.

also, are you looking into playing clubs, events and what not or not really? if not then the USB vs. no USB may not be an issue for you.

MK3's, and I think that's quite cheap for those cd -players, can't work with ebay though, but the seller has 100 percent...
They've asked me to play in a club/room, and they have cdj 2000's over there, so dunno...

im just asking: "why do you want a cd dj setup?" theyere usually pricey, plastic and i think they have terrible feel, the actual plastic on the "vinyl" is pretty bad and the motor and how the plate spins is always a bit clunky. Nowadays its easier to just pull your library from your computer. Get a computer dj system (a good one, some of the cheaper ones suck too) but if you already have a MIDI controller why not look at a vinyl player setup? its going to have the best feel and you can get alot of them for cheap

they already ask me to play on partys (quite small), and they only have cd players over there, no vinyl...
And I like the idea of a cd player more, throwing bad ass dj-sets...

the platters on cdj controllers arent that great in terms of feel....and to OP you know if you have a midi controller you can use (not with all softwares, for some of them you need a converter or watever) a vynil controller to control nd play mp3s from your computer
