I was skiing Glen Plake style (Caribou) last night at Keystone and my knee twisted a little too much and I heard and felt a pop. So I'm like, "eff i tore my ACL, fantastic" except I realize that I'm still skiing with no pain. I never felt any pain other than the initial pop and I still feel no pain. I can walk fine. Should I get this ish checked out by a someone?
hmm. well generally speaking you will get some swelling first, but then be able to walk on it later fine. id guess no, but it probably wouldnt hurt to get it looked at.
acls can be misleading becuase if you fully tear it... you severe the nerve and there is not a lot of pain. but you would have major insability and issues straigthening your leg
Yeah me too. I crack my knees every morning by keeping my foot on the ground and throwing my knee inwards (hard to explain) but this felt different. And I can straighten it fully
Pain is your body's way of telling you something is wrong, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, but it would probably be a good idea to get it checked out.
