Cutting brakes

my brakes keep bending down when i fall switch. Should i cut them or what should i do. I also dont want to waste so much time bending them back at the end of the run.

DONT CUT YOUR BRAKES OFF !
(skis without brakes are like projectiles and can litterally kill people !)

is it only when you fall ? if so, don't fall so much and think about getting new breaks....

If its with landing switch;
this isn't normal that your breaks keep bending when you ride switch; either your breaks are fucked or your skiboot is worn down to the point it will no longer depress the breaks properly...

my advice; go to a skishop and have them help you out....

i dunno much bout teles, but i believe they dont eject like normal skis, do they?

on a sidenote, i once chased a runaway snowboard down a run, couldnt catch up with it; board hit a pinetree and got wedged in the tree so deep we had to pull with 2 people to get it out...

board was obviously ffed beyond repair...

if theat board hat hit a kid i'm pretty sure it could've been very nasty...

just to demonstrate the importance of brakes, even tough this happened with a snowboard, same thing can happen with a ski missing brakes...

still not the best thing, but teles don't eject nearly as often as alpine skiis. Plus, most bindings/boots have a little hole in them where your supposed to attach a leash.

I always thought it was funny that back in the 90's people made a really big deal about leashes on snowboards and those snowblades with the non-release bindings, but nobody cared about using them for skis, even though skis are the only thing that you should really wear one with.

And now nobody cares at all, but I remember back in the day you would get called out on it by lifties if you were riding a snowboard without one.
