Replying to Are Alpha 2s more of a playful ski than AR6s?
Hi, I'm a new member but long time reader here. I'm looking for some help choosing some new park skis. My most recent park skis were AR5s and Walls but I currently have some 176 AR6s ('07 models). I don't really like the flex of the AR6s, I find the tails too stiff and the noses flex closer to the tip than I'm used to making it harder to do buttery pivotty things. They're just not as fun as my previous skis.
I'm leaning towards getting some Alpha 2s but I was wondering if they're a more playful and buttery ski than the AR6?
The other problem is that I'm 6'4" and ~180lbs so I wasn't sure if the 182s would be long enough for me, due to the early rise tips. I realise my current skis are too short for me but I was planning on going longer for this set. I'm open to any other suggestions too, I like symmetrical skis. Before anyone recommends some new Walls, I had massive warranty dramas with Volkl in the past so never again.
