I shall explain my situation:
I am a first year university student in the UK doing an earth sciences degree, namely geophysics. Now i would like to take either a semester or a whole year out to study at another institution abroad; sometime within the next 4 years.
So my question is can anybody suggest a good uni/college that offers earth sciences and is close to some sort of ski resort/mountain?
My first thought was the US - i am thinking of the obvious being Colorado School of Mines or maybe somewhere elsewhere, Canada for example...
My uni has an exchange program with Penn State so I might try that, but how far is that from the nearest hill?
Whatever happens I'm going to get fucked with the cost of studying abroad so i want it to be worth it!
suggestions and pros/cons of each college ie teaching quality, partying quality, and chick to dick ratio, distance to hill etc. please!
