Buying my first skis...

haha you guys are probably going to tool on me. i snowboard, but im really into skiing. so im gonna try it. im 6'2", 177 lbs. my friend has a pair of 155 atomic punx. hes selling htem for 90 without boots and bindings. good deal or no? im almost positive these are WAY too short for me. anyone have any good ideas?

well those are way to short for you. take a look around b/s/t and post this is gear talk next time. anyways youll have a blast skiing. good luck findin a pair of skis

^this ... Seriously 175cm minimum br4 ... Ideally, 180~185cm but then again you are learning

shorter skis=easier to learn :)

Yeah, waaaaay too short, youll get 155s to chatter at like 20 mph. If you choose to buy new skis/bindings, I reccommend getting them new, but the models from a few seasons back. You can get those models insanely cheap brand new because everyone has to have this season's shit. You can find new 07-08 models for 200 or less if you look around.

Yeah, too short unfortunately, cause that's a pretty good price if you are really small. For bindings I would say get new, but you should have luck in the b/s/t

You might want to consider buying the skis because thats such a sick deal, and then checking B/S/T for anyone that has a longer set that they might want to trade. But whatever you decide to do, I want to welcome you to the skiing community, its a great group of people to be involved with and most snowboarders will still be cool with you too. Congrats sir.

i wouldnt get skis that short. im sure you could find a pair of skis in bst that are a bit longer
