Really? Music has been going down hill. We hit a peak of musical greatness in the 60s-70s. It's been pretty well going downhill since then. Not saying there aren't good bands, just the majority of music today is pretty awful. Can't even call it music. And that list was really bad. Other than a few names.

Mainstream music has been going downhill... however, music as a whole hasnt really. Theres still plenty of great bands making new music, they just dont get heard/appreciated by most people.

Oh god I can't even begin to say how wrong you are.  There was some great music in the 60s and 70s but to write off 40 years of musical progress is just fucking stupid. 

Open your eyes and ears man... mainstream music is a load of shit but there are thousands of incredible groups/people putting out amazing music every day.  You need to look beyond the pop music that you hear on "hit" radio stations and take the initiative to find stuff you like.

Just like anything in life you need to put in a little bit of WORK to get good results.  Listen to college and public radio stations.  Look around on the internet.  There are countless resources out there for you to discover music that suits your taste.  Use them.

I can't wait for Cudi to have an actual studio album.
Kanye will be good cause he'll be sober again, back to his good shit (jesus walks etc)
Nikki Minaj could go without, though i'd give it to her.
Common... come on, you know its gonna be so damn lyrical
ill be looking forward to most of them.

Ps - the more and more i listen to eminems new songs, im like his new sober self less and less.

From what I've heard so far the new Hot Chip album kind of sucks which is unfortunate, their last one was ground breaking.

Justice album is going to be sick. Those guys are genius.

I have high, high hopes for the new Yeasayer.

Lupe Fiasco has always put out good music, this shouldn't be any different.

LCD Soundsystem's last album was dope. Their stuff is kinda cheesy, but I still like it.

Lil Wayne will of course be badass.

Santogold word.

MIA'll be real, real dope.

pretty good list, i'm excited for it.

That's good news, Graduation and The College Dropout were his best.

Albums I am excited for:

MGMT - Congratulations (jizzing in pants will happen)
Hot Chip - One Left Stand (if it's anywhere close to Made in the Dark, it will be epic)
Kidz in the Hall - Land of Make Believe
The Streets - Computers and Blues (JEA!)
jj - no.3 (everyone should listen to this artist)

And of course the new ARCADE FIRE, Chromeo, Justice, LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A., Neil Young (always puts out solid albums imo), Santigold, and Of Montreal albums.

I respectfully disagree, while both of those were good, I believe Late Registration was his best, it was the perfect mix of the wit and charm that made college dropout so amazing, and the production and technicalities that made graduation awesome.

While that is true, I just really like Get Em High, School Spirit, and the New Workout Plan haha.

Also Graduation has a number of songs that I really like, like Good Morning, Homecoming, Stronger and the Good Life, plus more.

But I'm going to admit, Hey Mama is my favourite Kanye song.
