Why no Colby West & John Symms in JOSS this year?

probably because they made a music video instead of focusing on skiing. also, now theres only 1 usa team

I think the real question is why no Sammy Carlson him and tom would make a way sicker team then dumont, i hate to say it but were gonna see the exact same tricks as last year coming from dumont.

as funny as my friend is a pro was, they sort of made a joke out of joss and didnt really take full advantage of it. tons of pros out there would kill to have a chance to go to joss but dont and its not fair when people take it for granted.

Having talked to Colby while at Momentum he was not too hyped on JOSS last year so it really doesn't surprise me that he is not in this year.

how about you guys stop complaining and vote colby and sammy in.

plus aside from another double flip and the fact that he doesnt look like the kamikaze symbol, dumonts whole sections gonna be the same. probably even down to his over done church intro.


and truthfully toms sections are starting to look the same too.

tall tee's + crazy tech switch ups+ a few floated grabs and rodeos + doubleflips at the end + him making a bird with his hands+ him throwing his skis= toms part


not hating but i think for alot of the returning guys they need to find a way to keep it fresh this year.

casein point= team norway and europe from last year.

i actually sorta agree with you. but i guess theres only so much variation a skiier can do. dumonts and toms part last year was so sick though.

Just because you say that you're not hating, doesn't mean that you're not in fact hating.

I agree that the "bird" thing and other similar camera gestures are sort of obnoxious, but come on...his actual skiing and segments are beyond reproach. He has an outrageously huge trick repertoire and his style and execution are pretty much flawless. He's EXACTLY what the majority of people want to see in a contest of this sort.

Have you seen any of the CASG edits? That's the kind of skiing I'm talking about. I respect Tom greatly, but it's not just him at fault. A lot of pros lack creativity. That's It, That's All is the kind of creativity I'd like to see, the tree taps were ZOMFUG!?

i don't really agree with you about toms parts. Last year he had that one trick, i think it was a 7, with a kang/japan grab, where he kicked his leg out after the first 360 and slowed it all down. He did that alot last winter, saw it in several edits. This year he's doing blunts. With everything. I bet he'd do switch ups with blunts if he wanted to.

yea but again, youre missing the concept of what JOSS was completely. none of those features were even there. you can't get more creative off massive jumps other than buttering or flipping off the knuckle. urban was limited just to the area as well so what you saw was pretty damn creative for what was available and not already done by another team.

Can dumont even do backflips?   It would be different than seeing him do front flips.   Casabon and hornbeck should def be on team NS.   would be epic.

I dont really understand the whole tall t thing.   They look like dresses to me.  With tall tees being in fashion, i think the next step is eyeliner and lipstick.
