Shoulder Brace help/thoughts

So i have real bad shoulders and once again dislocated 2 days ago and it was out of socket for 3 hours.  Real big buzzkill and im out for hopefully only a couple weeks until i get mobility and strength back. I have yet to come across a legitimate shoulder brace that would help prevent anterior subluxation/dislocation.  Anyone know of one that could help my situation out?  Looking for a riding brace.  Bummin pretty hard on my situation.  +karma for helpful posts.

I have the same problem with my right shoulder. If I throw my arm back it will dislocate, really shitty. I've been looking at getting the brace to help.

i used to have a brace just like that, it seemed to relieve pressure on the shoulder but still came out on certain impacts.  thanks tho, best of luck with your shoulder

thanks man, i dislocated my shoulder a week ago yesterday, it already feels a million times better but im nervous to start racing again

Take the time you need off. Don't jump the gun and dislocate it again. Do pull ups, push ups, lift weights, what ever and strengthen the tendons and muscles. Or else you'll just end up dislocating it again and that'll be no fun, trust me.

I play college soccer and the cost was covered through their insurance but it was $250. of the braces I have worn/tried, this one seems to me to be the best. With that said, I have dislocated 24 times... at this point the brace helps but doesn't prevent everything.

i skied with a brace on my left shoulder for three seasons from '02 to '05. it was amazingly helpful, and i'm quite certain that i never dislocated my shoulder while i wore that brace. get one.

Barley relevant but, wear dubX Technine, stuff is so baggy you can't even tell you're wearing stuff underneath.

Has anyone used that 661 shoulder brace?  It seems like it would be perfect and it's pretty cheap..

Hello, get well soon!

I dislocated my should two years back. The biggest help was my Physical Therapy, I would caution you on just starting to do pull up and push ups on your own, PT really helped with little circles and arm bands that help your shoulder strengthen the smaller muscles before the bigger ones. Which helps hold the ball in the socket more then just giving you your strength back.

I was back out skiing in only a short time frame a couple of weeks with a brace and then in a month or so without. I had good luck with this shoulder brace from EVS - the SB03. It worked great, it helped hold the ball in the socket and also helped keep my upper arm secure while still allowing me to use my lower arm and wrist. The only down fall was that it was tricky to put on and tighten, but my buddy helped me out.
