I rolled my 2003 Subaru Forester into a culvert, back in December.
I just got it back from the shop where it had the bare minimum done to it to get it back on the road.
I am honestly surprised that it can run. It front filpped down into a cowshit-filled pond outlet so the entire front end sat in about 1.5 feet of shitty water. 5 oil changes, $2k, and a month later, the thing is running like it did before I crashed.
The same goes for the Thule I had on top. Both of the aluminum racks held up, with only the plastic feet snapping on the bottom. The front load bar was bent, but the shop bent it back with no problem.
Basically, you get what you pay for with quality brands.
