Kind of sketched out, advice would be nice.

So tonight I will be driving my girlfriends little sister and hour a way's to her boy house. What bothers me is that she is 17 years old and this guy is 19... for me it just seems creepy that some one who could easily go to a bar and pick up a loose girl is going after high school girls. If I tell my lady that i refuse to driver her then she just will and ill have to deal with a pissy girlfriend for the night and I don't want her alone in the car with a strange man. But it just seems wrong to drive her so far out and leaver her there with some guy I haven't met and got to know yet. First impressions mean nothing I mean ted bundy gave a great first impression. Am I over reacting? is it normal of guys this age to date girls of that age. Something just does not seem right. Any advice? If my spelling or grammar is bad I am sorry, I just failed a grammar test today so its clear I have a retardation with writing.

Perhaps they met in high school and are in the same grade but happen to to find a mutual affection for each other because the 19 year failed a few english classes...

thus deeming it perfectly acceptable to continue with such a relationship

where you're from and your background might have something to do with it. the fact that you don't know him at all is a totally acceptable reason to be sketched out, no matter the age. but here, a two year difference is fine. three is pushing it, depending on circumstances. I mean i'm 18 and my gf is 16, and nobody considers us an odd couple.

i started dating my girlfriend when i was 19 and she was 17.
we met in college actually, i'm slightly old for my grade and she was slightly young for hers.

no big deal really

I'm old enough to go to bars and I'm seeing someone who can't. Age is a pretty quick and easy way to dismiss things that actually matter when you have deeper-seated problems, I suppose.

Does something actually bother you about the guy, or are you just being protective? Caring about the welfare of others is great, but there's definitely a point where you can become overbearing. Unless you have something on the guy she is seeing, you should at least try giving him the benefit of the doubt and trusting her judgement a little.

Its been a week they have been together, you silly vagina's like to throw the word love around so much.

Nah, i just get annoyed of people downing on age's anything under 18 is a little weird dating older people. I have done private school online school and have been chilling with an older age group since I was 16 I'm used to this kind of shit. I can understand if the girl really seems 17 and he is a douche bag. but parents age's are usually a5 year difference.

exactly. like a 6 year old dating a 15 year old is unacceptable, but once you get to like 11 or 12 you could date up to a 30 year old IMO

meh. When I was 17 I was dating a 19 year old. I was a senior in highschool and he had graduated the year before. No big deal. At that age dating is kinda odd, cause you are either dating someone your age or someone living a different life style than you. I went through the same sort of thing when I was finishing college and had people only a year or two older asking me out when they had already established their lives.

I really don't think its an age thing that is weird, its a lifestyle thing.

As a 19 year old, it would be a lot less strange dating a 23 year old still in college than a 23 year old that already owns their own house.

Same thing in your situation, but it is really how people react to the situation that makes it sketchy or not. Like if all she talks about is prom and what freshmen is screwing what junior and he is totally in to it, then yeah... sketchy conversation. but if her views are more, what college and what opportunities the future holds, then I wouldn't be sketched out.
