Demonoid kinda sucks now. They lost a ton of torrents when the site went down and since it's not really exclusive nobody seeds anyway.

i use isohunt and only isohunt.  you ALWAYS check the comments, they give great insight into what you're downloading, never once gotten a virus by using isohunt and not being a dipshit.

I've never used torrents how does it work? I tried to download and album torrent onto my mac and it's a torrent file so do I have to convert it to mp3 somehow? stupid questions I know.

if you're using these just for downloading music, i find sites like mediafire and megaupload to be more reliable. oftentimes music files from a torrent will be corrupted or just make weird sounds throughout the songs.

the trick to these sites is that you can't directly search within them. you have to bypass the security or whatever it is by running a google search.

for example: search "Pretty Lights Taking Up Your Precious Time mediafire"

sometimes turning your firewall off helps
i had to do that once. otherwise theres maybe a setting in your options that limit the kbs

turning your firewall off opens you up to a ton of risks... I wouldn't recommend it especially if you're downloading illegally.  Its a great way to get caught.  What you need to do is forward the ports that you are using to download.

i usually use piratebay, which works most of the time. but if i cant find what im looking for on there, i just type in the song or whatever in google, and type torrent after that, and then i take whatever it gives me.

What client are you using? Try changing it. I used to use bittorrent and it sucked for me, so I switched to transmission and it's the shit.
